FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How to clean flexi-tiles?

When purchasing our panels, it is essential to understand how to maintain them. Through daily cleaning, protection from moisture and sunlight, damage prevention, and regular maintenance, you can ensure that flexible stone remains beautiful and durable for a long time. At the same time, it is also very important to seek professional help in a timely manner if problems arise.

Here are some key points about smart stone maintenance:

  1. Daily cleaning: Dust easily accumulates on the surface of the panel, so it is necessary to remove dust regularly. A soft dry cloth or vacuum cleaner can be used for cleaning. Use a neutral cleaning agent, not agents containing chemical or alkaline components, to avoid damaging the surface of the panel.

  2. Prevent damage: Avoid scratching with sharp objects that could cause scratches. Avoid strong impacts that could cause breakage or deformation of the flexible stone.

  3. Regular maintenance: Regularly check the flexible stone for cracks or slippage. If you find any, deal with them in a timely manner to prevent the problem from spreading. A special protective agent can be used regularly to improve the waterproofing and anti-mold properties of the panels.

  4. Professional maintenance recommendations If you encounter difficult cleaning or maintenance problems, we recommend seeking professional help. Professionals can develop targeted solutions based on the specific situation and problems with the stone.

Are MCM panels suitable for bathrooms?

This type of MCM stone has been specially treated with excellent waterproof and anti-slip properties and can maintain stable performance even in humid environments. - It has strong wear resistance, is not easy to scratch or wear out, and at the same time has excellent stain resistance and is easy to clean and maintain. Suitable for high-frequency use areas in the bathroom, such as shower stalls, sink areas, etc. - Antibacterial agents are added to effectively prevent the growth of bacteria and mold and maintain the hygiene and health of the bathroom environment. - MCM panels can simulate the textures and colors of various natural stones, such as marble, granite, etc., while providing more diverse design options. Depending on the overall style of the bathroom decor and personal preferences, the right texture and color can be selected to create a harmonious bathroom environment.

What is the main material used in the production of MCM panels?

First, plant fat and soap horn are mixed in a boiler equipped with an ultrasonic system. With increasing temperature and the action of ultrasound, vegetable fat, soap horn, and deionized water gradually combine to form a modifier. Then, using room temperature control, natural stone powder, clay, and natural mineral pigment are spray-mixed, and the modifier and mixed raw materials are repeatedly mixed in more than 30 production processes to create a new composite material that the scientific community calls "MCM."

MCM has good plasticity and can be freely shaped under controlled temperature curves and gamma rays, creating various decorative materials with stone structures and different patterns as needed. The mechanical system exclusively for flexible stone has achieved zero emissions and zero pollution during the shaping process, and waste products from flexible or bendable stone can be recycled into new recycled materials.

What is the basic material used in the production of MCM panels?

The basic materials for the production of flexible tiles are common construction waste soil in cities, including loess, red soil, white soil, black soil, cement waste blocks, porcelain slag, and stone powder. Thanks to the soft body attached to the wall, "brick wall integration" can replace the traditional hard, heavy, and fragile structure of tiles with softness.

The base material for flexible facing bricks comes from modified soil that does not damage the natural landscape and can be decomposed and restored by quarrying. This does not result in deforestation.

Why are MCM panels so soft?

The panels use colored inorganic ores as raw materials, to which a small amount of water-based polymer is added as a modifier. It is produced by low-temperature firing, giving it a certain degree of flexibility.

Non-standard structures do not require special treatment, and the stones can be glued without any problems. The external insulation system can achieve a flexible combination, preventing thermal expansion and contraction of the base layer of the wall, which could cause the flexi-boards to fall off and pose a safety hazard.

Thanks to its flexibility and reliability, it can have a similar service life to building structures. Soft porcelain and flexible stone are used in schools, urban renovations, villas, etc., and have gained considerable attention and praise!

Are the products in the leather series animal-friendly?

The manufacturing process of leather panels creates the effect of exceptionally luxurious leather, but no animals are harmed in the process. Magic Coverings believes that enjoying natural beauty without harming animals or destroying nature is the best way to live.

Detailed cleaning methods

  1. Contamination with dairy products Dairy products (e.g., milk, cream, butter, etc.) contain animal fat, and over time, this type of contamination not only causes the stone surface to yellow, but also causes rot and odor. Therefore, this type of contamination should also be removed immediately. If the stone has already yellowed, the surface can first be cleaned with a neutral cleaning agent and then with a paint remover (the same method as for removing ink stains).

  2. Solutions for yellowing bathroom stone Ceramic tiles often encounter problems such as loosening and falling off during use, which is caused by the insufficient strength of the cement mortar joint currently used to bond tiles, and because they are exposed to a humid environment for a long time, they easily loosen and fall off. There is a method of using resin-type adhesive to bond ceramic tiles. Not only can the strength reach or exceed the original strength of the tiles, but it will not cause detachment even in a humid environment for a long time. Ceramic tiles in bathrooms are often contaminated with oil, rust, soap, and dirt. For the gaps in ceramic tiles, you can first use a brush dipped in a small amount of acid cleaner to remove the dirt, and then apply a layer of waterproof agent to the gaps. This will not only prevent water leakage, but also prevent mold growth.

  3. Oil-based cosmetic stains on natural stone, especially oil-based cosmetics (e.g., lipstick, nail polish, etc.). These stains usually contain oil, dye, and wax. Once stones are stained, they are very difficult to clean. If there is lipstick, nail polish, or other contaminants on the stone decorative surface in your home, you can first use a sharp knife to remove the contaminants from the surface of the stone and then use an acetone cleaning agent.

  4. Cleaning natural stone material from adhesive contamination usually, some types of adhesive contamination, if it is water-based adhesive, can be cleaned with a standard cleaning solution. If the stain is caused by surface hardening of epoxy resin-based adhesive, marble adhesive, AB adhesive, superglue, etc., it can be scraped off with a sharp knife and the remaining part removed with a wax remover.

  5. Natural stone juice cleaning solution fruit juice stains not only come in many colors, but also contain pigments in the juice. If left untreated for a long time, they can cause the stone surface to yellow. In addition, many types of fruit contain acidic substances, such as orange juice, lemon, carambola, oranges, grapes, apples, etc. Therefore, fruit juice substances not only stain the outside and inside of the stone, but also corrode the surface of the stone, especially limestone and marble. If it has been stained or yellowed, a neutral cleaning agent can be used to clean it. If the yellowing is severe and cannot be washed off, a paint remover can be used to clean it. If the surface of the stone has been corroded and has lost its luster, a polishing agent can be used to polish it again; if the damage is significant, professional stone maintenance workers should be hired to solve the problem.
